Language Proficiency
Certificates allow you to complete a specific group of university courses (for credit) as either part of your degree studies or separately. Additional details on certificates are available here.
At York, we understand that proficiency in a foreign language is a vital tool for work in many disciplines and we make it easy to integrate language courses into the rest of your studies.
Current York University students may earn a certificate of proficiency concurrent with fulfillment of the requirements for a bachelor’s degree. Certificates of proficiency may also be open to students who already hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, and who are admissible according to Faculty and University policies.
